St Mary’s had suffered from poor heating for decades. It was the most common complaint in Church that it was never warm.
The great clumsy cast iron pipework and oil fired heating system was old and decrepit and the boiler was on its last legs. A new solution was needed and one which didn’t destroy or detract from this beautiful 16th Century Grade 2 listed building. ELKATHERM® electric heaters were installed on either side of this magnificent and ancient building and models were fitted with castors down the middle of Church to provide warmth that are movable so as to provide flexibility.
The Church is used for community purposes and it is highly important that it is warm and comfortable for all uses. The feedback and recommendations from this project have been so beneficial and other Church heating projects have come our way since completion.
